malthus paragraph

Malthus Paragraph
Although food sustains a growing population for a limited period time, Malthus believes the idea of checks, such as disease and famine, will allow for a much longer period of sustained population. Malthus writes "The ultimate check to population appears then to be a want of food, arising necessarily from the different ratios according to which population and food increase. But this ultimate check is never the immediate check, except in the cases of actual famine." Malthus is arguing that humans are the cause of food shortages and this occurs from the overpopulation and rapid overgrowth that came with industrialization. Malthus continues to argue his point by writing about how man causes the over population that wipes out the food supplies and how the lower class people are having more kids than they can afford which checks the families ability to continuing to support the kids and it increases population. because the families can no longer support their kids they move to an urban society in hopes to find jobs to gain revenue which they will support the family with. many families are having the same trouble so with many families moving to the same area, the population is too big and the food source will diminish

  1. I like your evidence, there are some grammar errors. You should say, Because the families can no longer support their kids, they move to an urban society in hopes to find jobs to gain revenue. With many families moving to the same area, these areas will be overpopulated, and food sources will diminish.
